Mobile Banking Get checks to the bank faster using the Bank of Birmingham Mobile App - just snap and deposit.
    How it works:
  1. Select "Deposits" from the Mobile App menu,
  2. Choose "To account" and enter the check amount,
  3. Snap a picture of both sides of your endorsed check,
  4. Confirm your deposit and click "Yes,"
  5. Done!

Information on Limits


Are there any limits on the dollar ($) amount of deposits I can submit?
Yes. A daily limit of $2,500.00 will apply.
If you would like to request an increase in your daily limit please contact a Relationship Manager at (248) 723-7200. We would be happy to review your options.

Can I deposit more than one check at a time?
Only one check is allowed per deposit. You may make multiple deposits per day.

Tips on Using Mobile Capture


  • Before logging into the Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone.
  • Place your business account endorsement stamp on the back of the check or, in its absence, sign/endorse the back of your check, include your account number, and add “For Deposit Only – Bank of Birmingham.”
  • When prompted for the amount, carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check.
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
  • Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos. Try not to get too much of the areas surrounding the check.
  • Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
  • Place the check on solid dark background before taking the photo of it.
  • Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photos. Hold the camera as square to the check as possible to reduce corner to corner skew.
  • Review the entire check image to make sure it is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit. Also confirm the following:
    • There are NO shadows across the check
    • All four corners are visible
    • The check is not blurry
    • The MICR line (numbers on the bottom of your check) is legible

What should I do with the check after it’s been deposited?


  • Be sure to log off the app completely when finished using the Mobile Banking app.
  • Write “Electronically Presented on (date)” across the top of the check.
  • Securely store the check for 30 days after it has posted to the account.
  • After 30 days, mark the check “VOID” and securely destroy it.
